80s Bangers
Sample setlistCan you set up at a house, garden or marquee?
Yes. My setup is compact, so a living room corner, garden marquee or function room is no problem. I just need around 2m × 1.5m, a power socket, and cover if we're outside.
How much do you charge?
£600 for 3 hours, £700 for 4 hours, or £800 for 5 hours. That includes my full setup, travel within a reasonable distance and all the prep beforehand. Destination events are quoted separately. Send me your details and you'll have a tailored quote within 24 hours.
How far ahead should I book a party?
Saturdays go first, often months ahead. But I sometimes have last-minute availability, so it's always worth asking, even if your party is soon.
We're doing a theme. Can you match it?
Love a theme. 80s night, all-white party, disco, Motown: tell me what you're planning and I'll build the music around it.
Can you keep the volume sensible?
Of course. I'll keep levels right for the room, quieter while people are eating and chatting, and work to any noise limits or finish times you or your venue have.
Do you take requests on the night?
Yes, within reason. Before the event we'll agree your must-plays and any songs to avoid. On the night I'll blend requests in where they fit, and if one would kill the energy I'll hold it for the right moment.
What music do you play?
My sweet spot is 80s bangers, 90s RnB, disco, funk & soul, modern house and Kisstory-style throwbacks: music that gets every generation on the floor. I'm less experienced with afrobeats, grime and heavy hip-hop, so if those are central to your event I might not be the best fit. I'd rather be honest upfront.
Do you use smoke machines?
No. In my experience they almost always set off fire alarms, especially in hotels and historic venues, which is the last thing you want mid-party. If atmosphere effects matter to you, your venue's production team can advise on safe alternatives.
Do you travel?
Yes. I'm based in Hertford and regularly play across London and the South East, and I've DJed across Europe. UK events within a couple of hours are usually included in the price; destination events are quoted separately.
